A new agri-food company has established its operations in the Greater Saint-Hyacinthe area. La Fabrique à Saveurs Inc. is currently establishing a new production unit in the industrial location of Sainte-Madeleine.

The company owns a trademark brand, A. Lefebvre & Cie Inc. that specializes in the manufacture and bottling of culinary products based on small fruits and ready-to-drink items.

It produces approximately fifteen different types of jams and condiments in individual portions for restaurant, hotel and airline transportation industries, as well as house brands for other industry partners.

Aesus Inc. is proud to support La Fabrique à Saveurs in their newest development, as we celebrate their $2.5M investment in Sainte-Madeleine. This initiative strengthens our collaboration and underscores Aesus’s commitment to agri-food innovation.

As their strategic partners in packaging processes and the major providers of their packaging equipment for processing food and bottling of culinary products, we are excited to be part of this wonderful local and international venture that will certainly help create dozens of jobs for the industry.

La Fabrique à Saveurs is led by Myriam Dubreuil and Patrick Malo. They are renowned business personalities and also head Miel Dubreuil in Saint-Dominique that was formed as a result of the acquisition of assets from the same-named company that had been operating outside of the Maskoutain area for approximately 40 years.

The primary purpose of this funding is to support the production activities by purchasing cutting-edge technology for packaging and processing. Additionally, a factory division will be authorized to manufacture food for global markets. The factory is scheduled to be activated this month. This start-up is expected to generate approximately a dozen new jobs in the immediate future.

“We are very proud to deploy the activities of our new company in the Maskoutain territory and particularly in the beautiful municipality of Sainte-Madeleine where we have found a space suited to our production needs. Of course, the decision to move these activities to the region is based on our own territorial anchorage, but also by the proximity of various specialized support services to the food processing sector that we find here and for which we were already users in the operations of our other company,” emphasized the president of La Fabrique à Saveurs, Patrick Malo.

The company currently gains from the expertise provided by the Maskoutain agri-food innovation ecosystem, especially through Cintech agroalimentaire, which helps in the business’s research and development as well as innovation initiatives.

Since the start of the investment project, Cintech has supported the company and accelerated its growth.

The leaders of the two businesses recently announced a partnership to set up an innovation platform for the creation of products derived from honey.

The team at La Fabrique à Saveurs Inc. has also received assistance from professionals from Saint-Hyacinthe Technopole throughout the various stages of this investment project’s implementation.
